Arcade Marketing will be operating in a new 84,000 sq. ft. facility in Rockaway, New Jersey, by the end of this month. The new operation will be known as Color Optics by Arcade, and will complement Arcade’s existing core production sites in Tennessee and Illinois.

Joe Cicci will head the new operation. Packaging previously produced at Arcade’s Color Optics subsidiary facility in Saddle Brook, New Jersey, will now be produced at the new location, which is nearly double the size.

Arcade’s sampling technologies — combined with Color Optics’ packaging capabilities — have been making it possible for the supplier to offer a wider range of packaging options since Color Optics was acquired in 2011. One specialty package that will be manufactured at the new facility is Arcade’s “PreScent” box, which enables self-service product testing in retail stores by incorporating a fragrance sample into a display.

“Combining the unique packaging and sampling capabilities in one operation represents an opportunity to create a new generation of sampling and packaging solutions,” said Diane Crecca, senior vice president, Arcade. “Most immediately, the new state-of-the art facility provides Arcade with greater resources to develop exciting sensory sampling formats that motivate consumers to buy beauty, fragrance and personal care products,” she adds.
